A board simulation in which eight linked decisions create visible performance, hidden exposure and a final test of whether the organisation can continue to operate.
What it explores
Remain Insurable examines how strategic posture and compound climate, social and governance pressure affect an insurer’s ability to keep operating. Profit and capital remain important, but so do trust, resilience and optionality.
The exercise asks whether a board can distinguish a good result now from a strategy that remains viable under later stress.
How the experience works
An opening strategic posture is followed by eight opportunities and shocks. Choices can align with the mandate or gradually drift from it. Visible measures update through each round while hidden exposures and final liabilities accumulate.
Team decision pages, facilitator control and a live leaderboard create board-room comparison without reducing the outcome to a single score.
The consequential moment
At close-out, hidden exposures are applied. A board can discover that the same strategy responsible for strong short-term performance has weakened solvency, credibility or the practical ability to remain insured.
Public demonstration
A compressed experience asks for a strategic posture and two board decisions before revealing one hidden exposure and a clear “remain insurable?” verdict.
