Designing the qualification
James was a major contributor to the Level 3 Digital Production, Design and Development T Level. Under Ofqual rules, he wrote the majority of the programme of study and created the teaching and learning materials for the Core and Occupational Specialist units.
The delivery pack included topic guides, introductory presentations, industry resources and detailed lesson plans. Together they gave educators a structured route through a new national programme while keeping its relationship to digital industry practice visible.
Preparing educators to deliver it
James also led in-person and online training for educators across the country. Sessions showed teachers how to use the delivery pack, adapt the resources and translate the qualification requirements into engaging classroom practice.
The work connected qualification architecture, practical resources and teacher capability rather than treating them as separate stages.
